I ate here as part of a group. I did not find anything special about the place. It was clean, service was pleasant and timely. The reason for three stars was that several items were unavailable off the menu and one was what I wanted to order. I ordered the fish and chips, which was pleasant. We share appetizers and the mussels were quite good.

I had a good first impression with the cool train on the ceiling and the train theme decor. The menu has a variety of choices and it seemed promising.

However, the food and service sucks.

I ordered the shrimp quesadilla, to which was very bland. It was just ingredients thrown together--raw onions, peppers, some cheddar, and shrimp, to what seemed like came out of a frozen bag and thrown into the tortilla. I opened it up to take a picture.

The poutine too, tasted meh and their gravy was beige!

This is one of the worst service I've had, the waitress had no interest in serving us! She may smile while talking to you, but she does her work to the bare minimum. Each time we asked for something (more water, a take out container for example), she would say sure then dart away when I wasn't done speaking. Then, when we went up to pay, we stood in front of her for a long time, watching her text on her phone, before she noticed we were even waiting.

Stay away, this spot is not worth your time.

    Excellent breakfast spot!
    Great price for great portions.
    Super cozy, warm and inviting.
    Rich history throughout the interior.
A must-go before driving the Cabot Trail

A sweet little spot in the heart of Inverness. The decor is very kitsch - silhouetted pipers, black and white train photos, and a real-live model train chugging around the ceiling near the bar.

One of the few spots in CB to get a decent cup of coffee - and they do take out!

We ordered mussels, fries, and a western sandwich between three of us, and it was all pretty tasty (though the mussels were perhaps a bit overdone, and there were some broken shells that should never have made it into the pot.)

Fast, friendly, and cute. Not much more to ask for!
